Should I repair or restain my deck?
If boards are soft, cracked or loose, repair comes first, then stain or sealer. If the wood is sound but weathered, a refinish is often enough. We'll look at it and tell you honestly.
How often should a deck be stained?
Usually every few years, depending on sun exposure, the product used and how close you are to the water. Waterfront decks tend to need attention sooner.
